Baptism of Blood

Got an idea. Rp will be MA Language, and MA violence. No sexual posts or anything. Nothing of that.

Basic Thingamajig: Early on in our characters rp life(how long in rp), we will all die. Period. But then we will be offered three choices by a demon/shadow being of some kind(got this from a story I was makinbg, forgot all the details cause hard drive got PURGED, by the last Deathknights of the Dasati, clad in black armour, swinging their cold swords of death. Circuits were on the ground, cut out from the living kilobytes themselves, and slowly leaking through their clutched fingers. The ground was covered in virus filled bytes, and the swords carried the plague themselves. Eventually, reinforcements came, and wiped out the last Deathknights. The land was tainted by the plague, so they cleaned it, and plotted a new village on the land, and it has since prospered, unaware of the carnage that was worked into the very soil beneath their feet.

Veritable rp in itself, huh?

Back to Baptism of Blood(The off topic bit was Baptism of Bytes): you're offered three choices from a demon character. 1st: Die. 2nd: Become on of his servants, and serve the darkness. 3rd: Go back to Earth, but live in pain every day. I bet most people will choose third, because thats the only way they will live till end of rp.

Two main characters: Mark, and Shane. Mark is an assassin, specialises in snipinmg, and of course, assassination. Shane: Taxi driver. Possibility of Squidward in him, cause he hates people disrupting his life. Mark is chasing a target, and makes Shane chase the other guy's limousine with a friggin taxi. They get hit by a speeding bus. They die. They appear in a room. Hurts to touch the walls and floor, hurts to breathe, even. In front of them, is the Emperor. Of the Shadows. He offers them the three choices. Shane turns out to be an evil bastard: He takes the second choice. He is equipped with two whips of dry, cracked leather which can kill with a touch, and is named Hell. Mark however, chooses the third path. He is thrown onto the street, and he feels like hes dying. Except hes immortal. Won't die. Won't ever die. Perfect torture victim. Anyway, just as he is teleported to real worled, he grabs a Sabre off Thane. It is a trophy from another world. A world, with, you know what, actualy magic. So, the Sabre is unbreakable, and hurts a lot when touching. Thane is pissed off, but can't do anything, so shrugs, and introduces Hell to the world of, HELL!

Anyway, ten years later, there is a thriving school for people who seem to have a touch for magic, it seems. And who have chosen the third choice. Oh, by the way, Mark is now called Reaver. And he knows magic. Most adept human practitioner for it. Anyway, you can choose whether to be a teacher or student in the school, or even an agent of the school, which is really for recruiting agents to fight against Thane. Few dozen pages later, or so I hope, Thane attacks Earth. Bla bla bla, Humans win, and Thane, and now his most loyal servant, Hell, evacuate the battleground. And to add to all that, Earth is suffering an Ice Age because of foul magic.

What happens when they choose to die [As that would be my choice most likely]?

And what kind of pain?

Good idea, anyway, I like it. I think I've heard/read/seen something similar... just similar to dying then being offered a choice by a demonic being.

Hmmm... welll... best bet is dying.

Sounds a lot like the many a literate RP. You've got the idea down pat, clearly. Now we just need some details to help the RPers. Such as character sheets and rules. How lenient are you going to be with the actions the RPers decide to do that aren't directly following the plot? Should we have a writing sample?

Righto. Basically bit before Mark goes to hell and stuff.


Mark sprinted across the streets. Various people jumped out of the way as he chased down his target, a Japanese software business owner, who had pissed off the wrong people. His target jumped into a limousine, and a second later it zoomed off. Mark didn't pause a heartbeat as he smashed the passenger window of a taxi and jumped in. He aimed a pistol at the head of the driver, and said "Follow that limousine." As the driver stepped on it, Mark shrugged off his backpack. Inside lay an MP5 sub-machine gun, with various attachments. He screwed on a custom tailored suppressor and flicked on the blue laser pointer. When he was satisfied, he set it on his shoulder. The Driver looked at him nervously, and said "Mate, what happened between you and that guy?" Mark hesitated a second before he answered. "He killed my daughter. Shot her dead in cold blood. Which means he's dead. Your name?" Mark had lied about everything, because he felt this driver was not a real taxi driver. The driver glanced nervously as he punched down the accelerator. "Shane. Yours?" "Mark-" he started to say, before the taxi was smashed by a RPG. It was flung backwards, and both people were knocked unconscious. Mark, however, gained concsiousness a few mninutes later, and saw a shadowy figure pointing a gun at him. It fired.

I meant a writing sample in the character sheets. But that's good too. That'll make a good example of what a writing sample should be for the sign-up sheets. How they died.

Actually, how they died will probably be part of the rp, and they're all gathered . Hard to explain. Just say that anyone who dies and has the choice thing and chooses third choice will probably be in school. Or, you could just be an agent of the school, and skip the dying part. But thta requires permission. Its gonna be a mix of fantasy and shooter, cause my guy will have the sabre, and he will have dual mp5ks with blue laser pointers.

Why blue laser pointers?

And why doesn't anyone want to help with my RP planning? :beg:

Cause blue laser pointers cool. They cost more, and they really look mcooler than red. Or green. I have a blue laser pointer for my paintball gun. Its a sniper. I also have a proper telescopic scope.

You know what would be an awesome paintball gun? A bazooka paintball gun, just completely cover the enemy with paint... or a paintball sticky grenade that would work somehow...

?? Bazooka paintball? The rounds would cost more...

If you run out of proper ammo it could fire balloons filled with paint. Not water balloons, those are too delicate and would burst on firing. A paint grenade would be a water balloon filled with paint that you lob at the enemies and hope that they don't burst in your pocket.
