Introductory Story thing
A monster, they called me. Unnatural, unholy, evil – all of these they used to describe me. They were wrong. They were too judgmental, those who were lucky enough to survive the End of Days intact. I was not one of them, am still not one of them. That doesn’t mean I’m evil.
Planning
This is a story set in a fantasy world ruled by three massive Empires. It is set a decade after the event known as the End of Days, or the Apocalypse, in which the Old World was destroyed. As the Old World collapsed, the greatest of wizards and arch mages opened portals to the New World, saving thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of lives. When the Old World had collapsed completely, the portals closed.
There were a few people who were in the portals, travelling between the worlds, when they closed. These people were then spat out into random locations across the New World, half dead. Literally, one half of their body was bare bone and strands of flesh. The other half was normal, alive.
At first they were in great agony, the only movements they could make were instinctual and a result of the pain. Soon the pain stopped. They lay, they noticed their deformities. They were horrified. Once they got over that, they noticed their surroundings.
They were completely lost in the wilderness. It would be a decade before civilisation found them. But they would wish civilisation had just left them alone.
Players play of one of these unfortunate Half-Dead people. After a decade of surviving in whatever environment they were spat out into, after having partially reverted back to animalistic instincts, they finally come into contact with another human.
They are scorned, feared and hunted by the humans. They are utterly repulsed by these 'undead horrors'. After evading humans for a while, players are finally captured and taken to a place sacred to the humans to be executed. This is where the players meet up, and the proper RP starts, this is where the players begin controlling their characters.
First, they must escape. Then they must work together to survive and evade the humans. Then, when they discover a terrible secret in a human graveyard, their focus turns from running, into fighting.
