Or perhaps this one... though it's a bit... something...

Grippli [Edited]

The Empire of Third Star, better known by aliens as the Grippli Empire, is relatively small, but none-the-less quite powerful Empire of the alien race who call themselves the Grippli. Physically, they are humanoid amphibians, mentally, they are a race of almighty psychics, driven through their zealous religion and unrelenting nature to serve Dryon.

Their homeworld, the sentient planet Dryon, is the most powerful being in known space. It single-handedly rose the Grippli race from lowly bacterial lifeforms, and it is served as the centerpiece of Grippli religion. The lifeforms inhabiting the planet are just as diverse as those on Earth, and the landforms too are similar.

The Grippli have developed a strong and complex religion through the years. Centered around repaying Dryon for rising them to sentience, following the 'Greater Judgement' of Dryon and seeking the 'Great Wisdom' [A concept not very different from Enlightenment], the religion also encourages peacekeeping and diplomacy over war and violence, however some Grippli overlook this.

Due to their religion, there was always bound to be a group with different ideas to the main Grippli beliefs. This group rose to become quite strong in Grippli history, and withstood the assaults against them. One day, they were overcome, however, and they were forced to leave Dryon and find a new planet to settle. The Grippli have been searching for them ever since, but have only come across few small cities on remote planets, or small fleets. These Grippli had changed tremendously since leaving Dryon. They seemed to have become bloodthirsty creatures, their ships, technology and architecture seeming to be trying to evoke the worst nightmares of the beholder. It cannot be said whether these are merely splinter colonies that got lost from the main fleet, but never-the-less it will take a lot for them to be granted respite by the Grippli. The Grippli, and all other species, call them the Uld.

Coming Soon Now:

-Culture
-Technology
-Inter-Species Relations
-Other...?
-Oh, yes, why they call themselves the EMpire of the Third Star

One thing the Grippli wish to do when they find a new alien species is convert them the their true way of thinking. The best way to do this? Prove how great those who do believe are. Grippli force out all outside deviations from their own culture. They consiously make sure everything they make and do is elegant, efficient, and alluring and inspiring to other races. This, of course, insures they are not as industrious as other races who wouldn't mind building ugly or temporary ships if it meant more income or less monentary loss.

Grippli ship designs are all awe-inspiring pieces of art. They are not built as temporary machines, they are built as if crafting a living creature, they are made to work at their peak and last through millenia. Grippli do not install interstellar drives into every single one of their ships, instead they build massive Motherships with multiple hangars for smaller ships to board when leaving a star system. Various classes of Motherships are built for varying tasks, for example there are some made specifically for battle, outfitted with powerful weapons and few hangars and other irrelivent things, whereas a trade mothership could be outfitted with massive cargo bays to hold resources, and only few hangars and weapons.

Grippli weapons are all energy-based weapons, as energy-based weapons can be psychically effected by the crew to improve their efficiency. There are many variations, but the main types of weapons are lasers, firing short bursts of intense laser, beams, firing strong beams of energy, or plasma cannons, firing balls of searing plasma.

Regarding the other species of known space, the Grippli are commonly seen among the lesser species as either evil zealots or gracious truth-bringers, depending on whether they were converted. Of course, they didn't get to really 'meet' the Grippli, only their missionaries. The Grippli send out missionaries to planets with sentient life, then leave them alone. Among the more powerful species of space, the Grippli are usually seen as reliable, patient allies, who subtly try to impose their beliefs on others, when diplomacy allows. They are mainly not seen in hostility, however, and are regularly called upon to settle arguments or conflicts fairly, and sometimes even as counsel to the more important members of some races.

Their alliance with the Drakons is one of their oldest and greatest alliances, but one that is withering away under light of recent events...

Drakon Tech!

The Drakons have a logical way of thinking with their tech, mainly their weaponry, that 'If something is pretty damn good, then we use it.' This can be seen in their almost archaic system of Gauss cannons, but these powerful weapons of war can still disable a Vasari ship. Of course, that would be one of the larger ones, which are nearly non-existent. Instead, the smaller ones, which require less energy, are fired at specific weakpoints, like the engines, or bridge area. Two shots of a smaller one would eclipse that of the larger one, and would use less energy too. They also use magnetic recyclers, recycling the magnetic bleed off energy from the shot to power it again. 65% of the power is regained, which allows for quick barrages. They also use plasma as one of their main weaponry tools. The plasma lance is undoubtedly the strongest weapon in the Drakon arsenal, able to puncture three Drakon ships, side by side, straight through. However, it uses colossal power. 50% of power is delegated to the cannon to fire one of these, but the Drakons are working on a new design, where bleed-off energy from the Gauss Cannons can be used, and the heat from the engines heats the plasma. As such, on the most advanced Drakon ships, it would only take 25% of power. They also use plasma howitzers, which just send massive blobs of plasma, whereas plasma lance creates a tightly packed damaging beam. The Armaggedon XV missiles use blast plasma to create a large explosion, which would, with fifteen, take out a frigate's not insubstantial shields. However, the standard Drakon ship stores dozens of these. Destroyers: Hundreds. Capital ships and cruisers: Thousands. Thats what comes from having a massive weaponry stockpile. However, they aren't the quickest of missiles.

Drakon ships are powered by colossal fusion engines. These behemoths generate so much power... the only contestant out there is the Vasari's sun cores.(Sizz-Shling aren't in it, or are they?)

Drakon soldiers use Gauss Rifles and Energy Katanas as their standard weapons. Most GAuss Rifles are semi-automatic, but the power of one single shot can shred a Drakon in two. The energy katana uses a powerful platinite body which is electrified to such a high power that it simply melts lesser metals. Even when it runs out of power, it can still be used, and is a fearsome weapon.

Alliance with Gripp'li

It is holding thin, after the scouring of the Drakons' homeworld, but the Drakon diplomats and ambassadors only wish to promote an alliance between the two empires. saying that with the might of the Vasari, it is needed.

It's like we're writing ****ing books!1 lulz

Wait a minute... that gives me an idea...

I must remember this tomorrow...

Oh yes, Shadows thanks for reminding me I forgot to say what Frog soldiers wear. Thank you very much.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The 'Common' Grippli soldier comes equipped with a Blade Rifle, a rifle that shoots out streams of ultra high-velocity blades that can shred apart an enemy within a matter of seconds. The most horrible part is it dosen't usually actually kill the enemy straight off but... to hell with unnessicary details. It also comes equipped with a psychic 'symbiote', a marvel of Grippli bio-engineering, the result of millenia of psycological and biological research. This engineered symbiote massively enhances the host's psychic potential, and in the case of the Grippli, who have been exposed to raw psychic energy for all of their evolutionary path, this results in unrivalled psychic powers. Depending on the 'strength' of the symbiote, the individual's powers may be weak or strong. Weak-strength symbiotes are most common and stronger ones are least common, as might be expected. Any negative side-effects of these symbiotes is yet to be uncovered.
Grippli soldiers wear little in the way of armour, instead relying purely on their faith [and psychic powers...] to protect them. Some, in fact, quite a few Grippli soldier choose to instead train in the arts of melee combat, where they are equipped with 'Gravitized' Blades, perfectly balanced blades that distort gravity around them, resulting in an effect similar to the Gravity Hammer or Halo, only to a lesser extent. They are also equipped with Blade Pistols, pistol versions of the blade rifle.
Note: Of course, their psychic powers don't automatically protect them, they need to concentrate on shielding themselves from fire which, frankly, is quite exhausting.
The Castera'an peace-time theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzx4zufng3k
And battle theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLyG_y8LbB8
Now, for my description. I'll have a little adapting to do.
Castera'an
The Castera'an are a race of complex equine creatures. They are generally peaceful, but when provoked they can be brutally efficient and merciless against their enemies. They were quick to rise and dominate their section of the galaxy.
They are hairless and their skin is a muddy red. They have four legs, four arms, two wings, a tail and a head with a short, thick eye-stalk with two eyes on it. This eye-stalk gives them better ability to look behind and around. They generally range between 140cm to 190cm in height and 500kg to 1000kg in weight.
By their physical nature, the Castera'an are brutal hunters. They have four legs for running with and their equine form gives them excellent aerodynamics and high speed. With their wings they have the ability to glide over medium distances. They have the natural ability to just blend into the shadows, although nowadays this ability is only available to those who train it. From the end of their tails they can spray out a concentrated burst of acidic toxins. And one of their two pairs of arms are equipped with nasty claws than can tear deep into flesh.
Their other pair of arms are used for more delicate tasks, as they are equipped with soft and dexterous fingers. They use this lower pair of arms for gesturing during more peaceful or diplomatic conversations. The upper pair are more active during disputes, arguments, fights and fits of rage.
[Continuing from second last post]
It started when Vasari started raiding Drakon worlds. Drakon colonies, so many billions of them were killed, but not one Grippli world was ever raided by the Vasari. Drakons were busy dealing with these raids, trying to defend their worlds, while the Grippli went on, not helping. Tension was built, soon during diplomatic meetings the Drakons began voicing their frustrations. The Grippli replied with that it wasn't their place to be fighting another's wars, and it was against Dryon's judgement. The Drakons saw the Grippli as cowards and the Grippli saw the Drakons as short-sighted fools. The Drakons had soon prepared a large fleet to go and find a Vasari colony to attack, they asked the Grippli to join forces, but were refused. The fleet was never heard from again, and when a Vasari counter-attack razed the Drakon homeworld, many Drakon survivors were greatly angered at the Grippli. Now, diplomats of both sides try to ease the tension, but civilians and majority of leaders of both sides still do not wish peace.
Hmmm. Tense. Like it.
Drakon ships:
Drakon ships are designed to be permanent, powerful starships. The level of meticulous detail they put in honeycombing it with bulkheads and blast doors, it makes most ships operational even after 95% of their hull is damaged. Of course, it would destroy some of their weapon systems, it would still be intimidating. Of course, against the Vasari, one-on-one is usually defeat for the Drakon ship.Two-on-one would defeat the Vasari ship anytime. However, it is usually in favour of the Vasari. But still, it usually means crippled Vasari ships, and the Drakons dead. However, the Drakons have a few tricks up their sleeves. One of these is the famous Space Station Antus, the largest Station ever built by the Drakons. A behemoth of a station, one hundred kilometers large, it also has the most powerful fusion engines ever built, and a star-drive. Which means massive mobility.It can extend a docking ring so that fully one thousand Drakon warships can dock on the ring alone. Coupled with on-station docks, and shuttling, it can host fully three thousand ships at one time. However, that is the full extent of the Drakon navy. Thre are a few weapons on the station as well. At last count, fully fifty Mark III Gauss Cannons were on the station, with three, I repeat, three Plasma Lances. Think that's an arsenal? You bet it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now, the Grippli call themselves the Empire of the Third Sun for a specific reason. Not just because they think it sounds awesome, but because their beliefs dictate that, first of all, three is an incredibly holy number in their society, and also that there were two ancient powers before them, each with their homeworld along a stellar 'line' consisting of seven stars. This 'line' is said to harbour the seven most powerful civiliations in existance, with the final one ending all of reality. The star that Dryon orbits is the third star along this line. It is also said that each of the all-powerful civilisations along the line will give rise to the next at the end of their days. It is widely believed that the Human homeworld was in the second star. That is the Grippli prophecy.

The Castera'an have always preferred to have a mixture of tactics.
Although for most of their early history the dominant method was force. However, once they reached space, they realised that friends here would last a very long time, and so would enemies if not dealt with. So they made a more diplomatic turn, allying when possible. When an enemy was encountered things were a bit shaky at first, but they eventually got their act together and nowadays they blast the enemies to smithereens ASAP.

As for the individual Castera'ans, violence and crime are discouraged and penalised, while chivalrous and honourable behaviour is encouraged. Gender equality is also promoted. Most Castera'an prefer wearing simple clothing.

Quote :
Draft

Striding along the gleeming corridors of the famed Space Station Poladon, Methrey, Stationmaster, making his way towards the bridge. Stepping through the bulk-doors and into the bridge, Methrey's senses were assaulted by loud mechanical beeping, bright red flashes and all assortments of warning instruments. "What is this?" Methrey asked his Second in Command, "They are here. They've finally found us. It is time to make a final stand."

Methrey made his way through the paniking alien staff to the station-wide speaker. All across the station, every alien, every being aboard the station, all heard Methrey's announcement. "Space Station Poladon. We are at war. We advise you get in your craft and leave immediately, except for all military personnel." He stepped away from the speaker, and ordered all Drakon personnel aboard the ship to arm themselves and preapre for battle.

A dark-cloaked, hooded figure rushed into the command bridge and stood infront of Methrey. He took off his hood to reveal his green, amphibious face. He was a Grippli, long time allies of the Drakons. "Methrey. No doubt you know what we now face. I'd call my own kind to aid... but... they seem to have blocked communictions... even psychic communication. You are plainly not planning to leave this system again. I shall stand and fight beside you."

The Drakon fleets prepared for battle as the planetary shields slowly turned on, covering the planet in a protective field of energy. The Space Station's shields were revved up to full power, and then came the long silence before battle. The Vasari Fleet came into view. Aboard the Station, any aliens that hadn't yet fled were now paniking more then ever before, but amidst the chaos, the Drakon Soldiers stood, tall and pround, prepared to all die at a moment's notice to save their new homeworld. The infantry counted their ammunition, while at the bridge Methrey tried in vain to find some kind of a weakness in the enemy formation, a soft spot to focus fire on.

The two fleets collided, breaking formation, giving way to chaos. Lasers, beams, plasma bursts, all flew across the battlefield, ships of both sides soon began to give way and exploded. Then, a second Vasari fleet appeared. A huge Vasari ship flew up to the Space Station, and boarded. The Drakons aboard the Station desperately fought to keep the invaders out, but were overcome as more and more enemy troops rushed forwards.

"How could they board right through our shields?" Screamed Methrey amidst the carnage and slaughter. "We know so very little of them, obviously nothing of which they are capable." the Frog replied, firing at the enemy. Just then, the Frog heard a familiar noise from behind him. He looked back, and saw a group of the enemy, the blue tinge of teleport energy hanging in the air around them then quickly disspating. The Frog dived out of the way as the Drakons he was standing beside were incinerated by the enemy fire. The Frog charged at them, sword in the air, pistol streaming razor projectiles towards the enemy.

Killing only few with the pistol, the Frog dived at them into melee. Swinging his sword into the body of one enemy sent instantly broke it's spine from the gravatized pressure of the sword, sending it collapsing to the floor. An enemy swung their melee weapon at the Frog, but the Frog was swift to dodge, ducking and countering with a strike to the legs. The enemy collapsed in pain, grasping it's broken legs. The other few enemies were soon defeaten.

Meanwhile Methrey remained at the doorway, firing out towards the masses of Vasari invaders. Methrey sent a wave of psychic energy towards them, only enough to disorient them and stop them firing for the moment. Then he and his troops charged them through the hallway, leaving no survivors.

This was only the bridge, all over the ship, groups of Drakon survivors remain suppressed by the enemy.

The OP's good, but it has a slight flaw. There is nowhere to start other than in the middle of the epic battle. Stop the OP at the part where the Vasari are detected. The rest can be the early plot.
And what will we do after the Vasari invasion? By the sounds of things the plot has already reached its climax by the end of your OP.

Diplomacy
The Castera'ans do their best to be on friendly terms with most Empires. However, whenever they encounter an enemy they attempt to wipe it out with brutal efficiency. Below is their formal guide on discerning between friend or foe.
Laws on Inter-Empire Relationships with-in the Alliance wrote:
"If Empires in the Alliance live peacefully with one another, they will
be assisted in times of need. If an Empire fights an Empire in the
Alliance, then the antagonist will the prosecuted, rejected and/or
exterminated. If the fight is between two Alliance members, then a
guilty Empire will be decided on and appropriate action will be taken
against the guilty Empire."
They have done their best to maintain a good relationship with the Drakons, Phooka and Grippli. They are also at war with the Vasari, mainly because they attack their allies. Numerous lesser Empires are also under the protection of the Alliance.

The OP's good, but it has a slight flaw. There is nowhere to start other than in the middle of the epic battle. Stop the OP at the part where the Vasari are detected. The rest can be the early plot.

You know not of the true plot. The OP is just to explain how... well, you'll find out.

We're all planning this together. As this is an Ood Studios collaborated RP there is no need for confidentiality. Can we please see an overview of your plot?

And I gave the Creature Dude 7s a makeover so the Castera'an would look better.

Castera'an

The Castera'an are a race of complex equine creatures. They are generally peaceful, but when provoked they can be brutally efficient and merciless against their enemies. They were quick to rise and dominate their section of the galaxy.

Appearance
They are hairless and their skin is a muddy red. They have four legs, four arms, two wings, a tail and a head with a short, thick eye-stalk with two eyes on it. This eye-stalk gives them better ability to look behind and around. They generally range between 140cm to 190cm in height and 500kg to 1000kg in weight.

By their physical nature, the Castera'an are brutal hunters. Their diet consists entirely of meat, making them carnivores. They have four legs for running with and their equine form gives them excellent aerodynamics and high speed. With their wings they have the ability to glide over medium distances. They have the natural ability to just blend into the shadows, although nowadays this ability is only available to those who train it. From the end of their tails they can spray out a concentrated burst of acidic toxins. And one of their two pairs of arms are equipped with nasty claws than can tear deep into flesh.

Their other pair of arms are used for more delicate tasks, as they are equipped with soft and dexterous fingers. They use this lower pair of arms for gesturing during more peaceful or diplomatic conversations. The upper pair are more active during disputes, arguments, fights and fits of rage.

Culture

Colonies
Strict standards have been upheld when it comes to colonising. As soon as terraforming technology became cheap enough to use in large quantities they went on a terraforming spree: Project Terra I. Later, the standards were lifted further and Project Terra II was initiated. Nowadays all Castera'an colonies are made to be self-sufficient and well armed.

Later, the standards were lifted further and Project Terra II was initiated. Nowadays all Castera'an colonies are made to be self-sufficient and well armed.

Technology
The Castera'an have done their best to advance in all available technological areas, but there are some areas in which they excel. One of these areas are terraforming technologies. Due to interest in the viability of a planet for improved colonies the Castera'an have invested millions in the production of powerful, easy-to-use terraforming tools.

The Castera'an are also the owners of the most powerful force-fields in the known galaxy. These shields are incredibly difficult to crack open from the outside while the ship inside can still fire out of it. The shields also have the ability to pass through most other shields, making them excellent for boarding crafts. The way these shields work are a closely guarded secret, as they were one of the most important tools in their dominance. The shields are not invincible, though. They may only be used for a short period of time before they must be left to cool off. They also aren't particularly cheap, and no infantry versions have yet been developed.

The Castera'an have two other powerful tools at their disposal. One is an extremely powerful planetary EMP. It is capable of disabling an entire planet's fleets and defensive systems for a few minutes. It can generally get through a lot of magnetic shielding as well. The other is the ability to create a temporary warp gate for fleets to come through. The prototypes and earlier versions opened a warp gate to an unspecified destination, although as pirates generally came out it is believed that the pirates have technology to attract such warp gates. Recently the technology has improved when they discovered how to guide it to their own passive permanent structures. It can now be used as a sneaky, space efficient yet hugely energy consuming method of calling in a fleet to the battlefield.

Well, frogger, pm me the details of your plot, and lets see if we can't make this the best space station poladon ever! On sporum, though.

Oh, tell me of the Casteraan weaponry. I really wanna know if its better than mine.

Oh, also, forgot to mention that if there happens to be a massive thing that happens, like Vasari taking over the Station, Space Station Antus, the largest Drakon space station ever built, will arrive.

Idea: We find an ancient city in the planet below. You know forerunners from halo? Like that, but this si gonna be way more epic. Also, there will be no halo and stuff. Rather, a different thing. We mistakenly assume from hieroglyphs they were kind, and more powerful than Vasari ever could be. There is a massive supercomputer in the city, and this has their dna. But it has to be activated. We activate it, find out that they are more evil than vasari, and they blast us to death. The end.

OK. I'll throw in the weaponry in general as well. See the Technology section.
As for the plot, you'd better have a good one Frog. One that will last a while but not get dull.

As for their regular weaponry, those are pretty average. They use a mix of plasma, laser, explosive and magnetically accelerated weapons. Their missiles are quite good, though, with the ability to add more compact explosives, better steering and more advanced targeting AI.

Fleets
The Castera'an keep a quality space force. Although most of their ships aren't the best, they're good enough. There are several kinds of ship:

Trading and civilian vessels are made to have space. They are generally only lightly armed, just to fend off pirates for a short while if absolutely necessary. Many of these ships have interstellar capabilities.

Small combat ships such as fighters generally don't have much better than interplanetary capabilities. But they are agile, generally armed with missiles and a gun of some sort and compact enough to fit in cargo holds. These are usually used for ship-to-ship combat and as a bit of cannon fodder.

Then there are medium combat ships (Out of Time. To Be Continued)

hmm.

Also, all frigates, destroyers, cruisers, capital ships, flagships, carriers, and colony ships have jump drives that can take them to a half of the speed of light. The Sizz-Shling(whats their name in this parralel) gave it to them in exchange for much platinite, and the formula.

As to the plot I was talking about the OP plot not the actual game plot.

Their missiles are quite good, though, with the ability to add more compact explosives, better steering and more advanced targeting AI. They have also managed to create and utilise particle missiles, which although less effective mean that physical missiles do not have to be carried around.

Fleets
The Castera'an keep an effective, robust space force. Although most of their ships aren't the best, they're good enough. There are several kinds of ship:

Trading and civilian vessels are made to have space for people and storage. They are generally only lightly armed, just to fend off pirates for a short while if absolutely necessary. Many of these ships have interstellar capabilities.

Small combat ships such as fighters generally don't have any better than interplanetary capabilities. But they are agile, generally armed with missiles and a gun of some sort and compact enough to fit in cargo holds. These are usually used for ship-to-ship combat and as a bit of cannon fodder.

Then there are medium combat ships. These make up the backbone of their fleets. They are useful for carrying small squadrons and patrolling. They are usually capable of short to medium interstellar distances. They are often equipped with numerous small guns, some missiles and maybe a bomb chute and heavy gun.

And of course there are the massive battleships. Measurable in kilometres, these were designed to fend off the more advanced races. It was only when they heard of the might of the Vasari that they began producing these, since before the surrounding Empires were of no threat otherwise. These ships are few, but they are powerful. They use the best technologies the Castera'an could afford to use. They have weapons to shoot everywhere around them. They often have a really heavy gun or two as well, such as a massive rail-gun. While they have plenty of room for an entire fleet, many of them also have the ability to warp a fleet to their location. The energy cost of this is massive, though, and could leave the battleship vulnerable as it recovers.

Then there are the flagships. The Castera'an have had multiples of these across their history. They have always been medium sized ships. While this may not seem good enough for what should be an Empire's prized vessel, the flagships weren't only used for war. They are also used for diplomatic, emergency response and economic activities. Most Empires aren't happy about a 5km long warship rocking up on their doorstep. The current flagship is called The Thames. It is a massive space shuttle which uses a space-bending warp-drive. It possesses many weapons, but it has a sleek elegance about it too. Combined with an elite crew, it and its EMP superpower, shields and agility have been known to conquer entire enemy home-worlds of less-advanced Empires. It is generally used to spearhead most Castera'an interstellar activities, warlike or not.
