Stargate Universe

It's Stargate grown up! Yayz... I only really watch it waiting for the aliens to come back... couldn't care less that Eli's mom is losing the will to live and what's his face's girlfriend is pregnant back on Earth...

Ah, Stargate. Now it is familiar. I've never seen it, but I looked it up so I'd know what people meant when they referred to Stargate. I've got an idea of the basis of the original plot. I've got no clue what is actually happening, though.

Okay basic goings on:

-Humans discover wrecked ship
-Find alien animals [I'm tossing up whether to bother including these things should I?]
-Take ship back to Earth
-Study ship/alien tech
-Detect fleet on outer edge of solar system
-Begin building ships/advancing space combat technology
-Scientists manage to merge FTL drives onto evac fleet
-What next? Oh yes... astronomer/scientist informs world of aliens
-World goes into panik, lots of violence and crime
-Governments try to deal with it - curfews, more police ect.
-... now what next? Dunno...

Feel free to add to/subtract from that. Once we have that done I'll start actually writing it.

Perhaps instead of a bunch of animals it should be a scout ship which had a technical fault in life support.
